The world's best active noise cancellation in in-ear headphones: Testing was conducted by Apple in July 2025 using AirPods Pro 3 paired with iPhone 16 devices, as well as preproduction AirPods firmware and iOS 26. Noise cancellation was tested according to IEC standard 60268-24. The best-selling wireless in-ear headphones commercially available at the time of testing were used for comparison. Performance depends on device settings, environment, and many other factors.

Dust, sweat, and water protection: AirPods 4, AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation, and AirPods Pro 3 are dust, sweat, and water resistant for non-water sports and workouts. The products, including the charging case, were tested under controlled laboratory conditions and are rated IP54 (AirPods 4, AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation) and IP57 (AirPods Pro 3) according to standard EN 60529. Dust, sweat, and water resistance are not permanent and may decrease over time as a result of normal wear. Do not charge while wet. Hearing Test and Hearing Aid Features: The Hearing Test and Hearing Aid features are supported on AirPods Pro 2 and later with the latest firmware, paired with a compatible iPhone or iPad running iOS 18 or iPadOS 18 and later. They are intended for users 18 years of age and older. The Hearing Aid feature is also supported on a compatible Mac running macOS Sequoia and later. It is intended for users with mild to moderate hearing loss.
